It still grates though, that they clearly didn't give a flying f**k and even before that dicked us around and kept us waiting at the airport for news. Budget or not, there's no excuse for that.

Said the flight was delayed - then called all the passengers to the boarding gate - only to tell them when they got there that the plane would be delayed and another announcement would be made in 30 minutes, then cancelled it an hour later.

But as you say, what should you really expect with a budget airline.

I suppose that it was the ?100 I had to pay out of one's own pocket that I mostly objected to, to get a train asap, rather than the 2 hours further wait FGW suggested I'd also have to endure, for my company's paperwork to come through!!!
