Had the same with RyanAir from Treviso to Charleroi

There was a general strike in Belgium, but they offered us only a flight to Paris that same evening. With the strike there was no way we could get any public transport through Belgium for 2 days so it wasn't an option. Therefore we had to pay 1 night's hotel in Treviso, a flight to Frankfurt, bus to Koblenz, and TGV from there to Amsterdam, PLUS a train the day after to Charleroi to pick up the car, plus 2 extra days' parking.

And they wouldn't pay back a penny.
