... Why they failed to back him in the summer, and were muttering behind his back about removing him after 10 games if things weren't up to scratch. The key here is, in such a crucial financial period for the club, to do neither one thing (back him) nor the other (sack him) is completely unfathomable: it's that that's got me wondering, with the wage bill for last season - a much larger one than most of us assumed - only adding to my suspicions...
