just because some deals are done that way doesn't mean that Doncaster had to negotiate the Ashton one like that. The fact is, as West Ham have been trumpeting, that they had the money to pay the fee, but Doncaster was too thick to arrange the deal that way. That is what happens when you have someone with no financial nous as CE.
