So you think it was clever of Doncaster
to negotiate a deal with West Ham whereby 10 months after the deal went through the bulk of the Ashton transfer fee has still NOT been paid? Absolutely f**king disgraceful. Doncaster and the rest of the board were content to let Worthy get slaughtered for not signing anyone in the summer, when the truth of the matter was that our transfer budget was (and still is) in West Ham United's bank account. I wonder how much of the Green fee has been paid? It has certainly become clear why MacKenzie had to be sold in order for the putative Cotterill deal to go through.
