I doubt it...

... If anyone's the new 'face', it's surely Chris Lakey - and in this bold new era whereby newspapers, blogs and messageboards are becoming interchangeable, you'll probably find Archant gradually recruit more fans to give their viewpoints (Adam Aiken this season, for instance).

Waghorn's cosying up to the club last season may well prove a watershed: I'm quite doubtful Archant will EVER allow such a sycophantic view of the club to take root again within its publications. Sure, the local media needs to maintain good relations with the club - but equally, the club needs to maintains good relations wit the local media, and especially, the fans.

I can't imagine many Canaries fans continuing to tolerate the kind of drivel Waghorn produced for most of last season: perhaps as a fanbase, we're beginning to change, and at long last, become at least healthily demanding - which has to be a good thing. City have only been able to behave in such a cravenly unambitious way for so long because its fans and the media ALLOWED it to: if we change, and the press changes, then NCFC will inevitably have to do so too.

Because, as the old saying goes, we get the press (and indeed football club) that we deserve.
