Exactly.

Unfortunately, Dennis is yet another of those national writers (and a Norwich fan to boot) with the same old lazy, complacent, unthinking, 'get a reputation as an early riser, and you can stay in bed til noon' mindset about how wonderfully 'well run' we are.

If we're so well run, Mr Dennis, how come we ended up in a position whereby we HAD to gamble on signing Huckerby and McKenzie in December 2003, because having splashed the cash in Summer '01, we'd have been completely screwed if we hadn't gone up within 3 years? If we're so well run, how come we somehow managed to lose money in our solitary year in the top flight? If we're so well run, how come we spent our year in the top division patronising ourselves, and adopting a disgracefully defeatist attitude, when our finances dictated we needed to stay up? And how come the board apparently regard 19th place and no away wins in the worst-ever Premiership (in terms of what was needed to stay up) as a 'success'?

Good grief. It makes you wonder what on earth would have to happen for Waghorn or Dennis to utter a word in anger. And when you consider what we all went through with Chase - another man, incidentally, who was widely perceived to be running the club well, albeit unambitiously - with journalists completely failing to do their jobs in exposing what was REALLY going on... well, it defies belief, really.

I support Norwich City - but I will NEVER have blind faith in either its owners or its manager: we all learnt much too much ten years ago to ever again avert our eyes and ears, and fail to hold it to account. I just wish journalists like Dennis would do the same.
