A lot of Bob (LarryTheLamb) Dylan's stuff sounds better covered

I prefer patti smith's version of "Wicked Messenger".
And Nina Simone's version of "I shall be Released"

REMs version of "First we take manhatten" is better than Leonard Cohen's
& John Cale's version of "Hallelujah" is better than Cohen's (or Buckley's).

Patti Smith's covers of "Gloria" & "Land of 1000 dances" are brilliant too (and in my opinion better than the originals).

I prefer Peter Green's covers of Robert Johnson songs to the originals.

I prefer The Stone's cover of "Wanna be your man" to the Beatles original.

True, there are a lot of crud cover versions, but there are some really good ones too!
