McVeigh's problem is that his best games for City have generally come on the left of midfield (he looks rubbish on the right). Given Huckerby's presence in the team his absence as a regular starter is understandable (one of the few things that is).
Mentioning Hughes, Robinson & Etuhu is pointless as they are totally different TYPES of players and not really competing with McVeigh at all. The people keeping McVeigh out of the team are Hucks (left midfield) & Earnie (midget striker) alone - which of those do you think he should be in ahead of?
