especially for the first semi. Didn't fall for the diving or get too finicky about minor contact.

Interestingly, the FIFA guidelines seem to be different for the later stages. Maybe the "crackdown on fouls" guidelines were aimed at getting rid of the less-fashionable nations and refs were supposed to get more lenient once they were eliminated (hence Blatter being so bizzarely critical of the Portugal/Holland ref)
