we used to run a water purification station for a nato military site in kosovo

not my field of expertise but we had people that were able to operate it, basically we processed local groundwater using a Reverse Osmosis Water Purification Unit to comply strictly with NATO STANAG human consumption safety metrics. i dunno why but nato vets were responsible for frequent water analysis which meant that we got paid or not. otherwise we had to supply bottled water. a very f**king expensive hobby that. thankfully we never had to.
