Interesting but a bit hysterical in places IMO

Some good analysis of his reasons and background, but I think in places he overreacts a bit.

The biggest issue for the immediate future is continuity. England cricket, especially the test team, always suffered when it was in a state of churn and turmoil. Players playing a handful of games and being dropped for another, back room changes, and so on. The Pietersen / Cook / Moores era springs to mind. How did they manage to waste all the momentum and ability from the Vaughan and Strauss teams? I don’t know, but they did.

Their greatest enemy always seems to be themselves, so I fully expect a reversal of all the progress of the last few years while they obsess over the Ashes. Maybe they’ll bring Ollie Pope back? Who the f**k knows?
