It’s been cobbled together over the years and it’s all

a bit unfair and illogical at various points.
The £100k threshold is one that is causing issues in the economy currently - many people either shove any excess into pensions or work less hours to avoid it.
Highly skilled and useful people are not contributing as much as they could either in tax or the general good because of this.
Hopefully it gets looked at soon!
