people won't reflect on this at all but i'd stand starmer a pint

he had the cojones not to suck up to trump and drag us into yet another pointless war in the middle east.

the parents/spouses/siblings/children etc of many many lads won't experience the grief and pain that so many have been going through and continue to go through over recent conflicts in iraq and afghanistan. let alone the personal trauma, both physical and mental that those lads/lasses themselves continue to endure. so yeah i'd f**king be happy to stand kier starmer a pint, too right i would. it's oh so very easy to snide from the sidelines.

then there is his unwvering support for ukraine. that'd be another pint for sure. he resisted the chance to let ukraine slide down the agenda when trump's america became more erratic and started drifting more and more toward appeasing putin.

also, his leadership along with macron on the co-allition of the willing has reforged some strong bonds with our european/canadian/aus and nz allies. pretty sure if this hadn't happened then ukraine would have been carved up by now and western europe would be next on putins radar. deranged usa trump doesn't give a f**k.

domestically yes he's been very poor, uninspiring and overly cautious agreed but his good outweighs his bad on my tally sheet.

he leaves behind not a small legacy.
