Is there really an appeal going on though?

A meaningful one, I mean. I can't imagine any outcome other than the appeals panel agreeing with the decision.

There's no way the EFL hasn't taken legal advice in reaching the initial view on whether the punishment is reasonable. What are Southampton going to be able to raise that hasn't already been considered?
