and then said player can be dealt with further. Yes the player would unlucky to have to go off, but imagine if the player who left the foot in was on a yellow, it would revolutionise things. No player would have a chance of getting away with slyness, the game would go on, the ref would be told a minute after, and in the first stoppage he'd go looking for the player and tell him what the 5th official saw that he didn't

It's a shame it's all hypothetical, cos none of it will happen
