I think that would be a brilliant way to implement technology
no razzmataz going to the screen, just a simple "did you see that? was it a professional foul?"
"im not sure, it's too difficult to call, give a drop ball as it was a coming together"
or
"yes, he deliberatly brought him down, up to you to decide the last man/goal opportunity interpretation when you produce the card"
The idea doesn't slow football down at all, players running round the referee telling him what he should and shouldn't do create gaps of 2 minutes when sorting these things out. At least the ref could find out what happened in that time
A goal could be given by the ref, and as the celebrations are going on, another 1+, the man with the mic could say "oh I've seen it again, Striker handled it into the goal" *whistle* "you tried to cheat me, sent off"
