Sounds like a sad life for him and his family.
He was before my time so I don’t remember him as a player, was he known as “Knocker” Powell?
I do recall older Norwich fans a few years ago saying he was living as a woman - obviously not true!
I think it has been known for some time that he was gay, in fact I do recall somebody once saying him and Fashanu were in a relationship.
Who knows if this was ever true.
