First-team

Neil Adams will step down from his position as the club’s technical director following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.

Adams has served the club in various roles, including making 206 appearances during his time as a player between 1994 and 1999.

After calling time on his playing career in 2001, Adams returned to the club as under-18s manager, overseeing the 2012/13 FA Youth Cup victory. In April 2014 he was initially appointed as the club’s interim head coach, before taking the job on a permanent basis later that summer. After a brief spell away from the club in 2015, he returned as loan player manager, before being promoted to assistant sporting director in 2021 and, later, technical director.

Sporting director Ben Knapper said: “Neil has been an incredible servant to Norwich City, and his contribution cannot be overstated. I’ve been fortunate to work very closely with him during my time here and his knowledge, passion and love for the club has been clear to see.

“He has been an invaluable support over recent years, and he will rightly go down as a club legend for his contributions and many achievements over an incredible four decades.

“Everyone associated with the football club is grateful for Neil’s fantastic service across his many roles. He will depart with the appreciation and very best wishes of our players and staff, and I’m sure he will remain close by and connected to the club moving forwards.”

All at Norwich City would like to place on record their thanks and gratitude to Neil for his incredible service to the football club.
