Nice story about Mondays game for the Wrath this morning.

I went to the game on Mon, I was a bit late as I had to pick the youngest up from Beavers, which I enjoy doing.

I walked in past Lower Clarence Road and met another latecomer. We got talking as we tried to work out the flow of the game from the crowd noise.

He explained to me that he was late as he cares for his wife who has dementia and he had taken her out for her birthday and it had made her more unsettled. He then said that he didn't mind being a bit late as going to the football is pretty much his only chance for a break, so he was glad to come even if he had missed 20 mins or so.

Reminded me how important football can be in the wider scheme of things.

Hope he enjoyed the game and the win.
