bad analysis. I was answering your question about why GD alone doesn’t measure a team’s over or under-performance.

Referencing sports betting doesn’t change that these metrics aren’t about predicting the future. They’re about assessing current performance, spotting strengths and weaknesses, and planning improvements.

That all said I suspect that we are unlikely to agree as I know xG is a hill you are willing to die upon.
