I, like you, am no military expert but I’ve never heard of a sniper aiming for the side of the throat.

Missed the head and got the throat, which was probably a similar margin of miss as catching Trump’s ear.

I suppose God loves Trump even more than he loved Kirk, although not enough to spare them the attempt in the first place.
