What would you do?

Bit of a rant but also genuinely after some advice from fellow City fans.

I booked my car MOT and service through AA Smart Care. The deal included home collection between 8am and 11am today. I took the morning off work, stayed in, waited… and nothing.

Called AA – they said they couldn’t get hold of the garage. So I called the garage myself. The guy who answered was instantly hostile. Said they “don’t guarantee pick-up times” and seemed annoyed I even asked. When I explained I’d booked and paid through AA for collection between 8 and 11, he got more aggressive, asked how much I paid, and basically made it clear he didn’t care. Offered to reschedule “if I wanted” – said he wasn’t bothered at all.

Eventually he said they’d be here “by midday.” It’s now midday. Still no sign.

So I’ve taken time off work, wasted a morning waiting, got spoken to like dirt by the garage, and AA are still faffing about. On holiday next week and supposed to be taking my car part of the way. Working between now and then and MOT expires whilst I’m away!
