nbbttt: tommy robinson

not actually tommy robinsons but a feller very closely linked to him at one time, goes by the name of Caolan Robertson a writer, journalist, filmmaker and former PR person for the alt-right.

Between 2017 and 2019 Caolan was a correspondent for Rebel Media, a director and producer for US shock jock Alex Jones, Lauren Southern and English anti-Islamic activist Tommy Robinson, and created content for many others on the online right.

Realising the potential of social media to generate income/influence Caolan staged an assault on tommy robinson, filmed it and put it on youtube, it went viral and netted tommy robinson £100,000 in donations.

An assessment carried out by the New York Times reckoned that the youtube content that Robertson produced for the far right at the time generated around half a billion views.

Got to wonder why tommy robinson repeatedly does what he does really, but that's not really the subject of this post.

Robertson (not Robinson, keep up) was also spokesperson for Stefan Molyneux and Lauren Southern during their aborted 2018 NZ tour. When that tour was cancelled, Robertson tweeted ‘hope New Zealand enjoys Sharia’.

Caolan went on to make, in his words, "some of the biggest documentaries that have been on the right." He directed Lauren Southern’s Farmlands, an alt-right film that proposes the idea of a genocide against white South Africans. It was tweeted by the then American president, Donald Trump. Then, InfoWars’ Alex Jones commissioned him to make a "documentary" about free speech.

Caolan has had a major change of heart and mind since then and is now collaborating on a deradicalization project called Future Freedom, with the aim of helping others exit the alt-right movement.

in the last year or so things have changed dramatically for Caolan, he moved to Ukraine and started his own war reportage channel and it is incredibly good, he also reports from Syria and travelled back and forth between the two but is now living permanently in Ukraine.

Caolan on Tommy Robinson now; "Tommy is a liar. The way he treated me, a lot of it, was just a front. It was an act to grow and make a lot of money. I thought he cared about saving Britain, saving young girls from being raped in Rotherham, but it was about making money. He only cares about himself and his money"
