That claiming asylum is not illegal.

One really important thing that most people don't understand is that the UK makes it really difficult to claim asylum from outside the UK.

By limiting the possible legal avenues it ENCOURAGES small boats and people trying to get in so that they can then claim asylum. The whole system is a mess.
