I was at a match recently with a by-the umbers ref.

4 cautions for time wasting / kicking ball away
5 for fouls, none of them serious.
So 9 yellows.

Did not make for a better game & none of the players seemed capable of adjusting their methods to take acvount for the ref’s attitude.
