The West, as we used to think of it, doesn’t exist any more because Donny fancies Vlad and JD isn’t sure which way round his underpants go. If you wrote it as fiction it would be deemed too unbelievable.

Barring events, Starmer and Merz will still be there after Trump is gone and he might be lameducked in a couple of years even. But I don’t think just riding this out for a few years is an option. Still not at all clear to me we should ever trust America again.
