As a supporter I'm not happy about it but I can't ignore the evidence. In accordance with

FA protocol three ex-professional referees independently reviewed the incident and unanimously agreed it was violent contact. JHT in his interview criticised the retrospective process but did not dispute it was violent conduct.

I agree that such incidents occur regularly in games but the majority are seen by the match officials and so do not qualify for retrospection by the FA.

That said I do believe there needs to be transparency on how these incidents are identified by the FA. This policy applies to the Premier League, Football League and Football Conference (National Division). Does that imply that someone at the FA watches every game played and if so who is doing it and what are their qualifications.
