And it does look like excessive force.

It also shows that the ball doesn’t really even look like going to that guy. So the shielding argument is a bit diminished as it looks more off the ball than it did from the other angle.

I don’t think he went to wallop him in the chops, but he did. And it looks very silly and very unnecessary from that angle.
