if you didn't commit the offences you are innocent, so if the jury thinks you didn't commit the offences they think you are innocent.
At no point do the jury say, or are required to say, that they do not believe the defendant committed the offences. They are only required to judge whether they believe guilt has been proved 'beyond reasonable doubt', which is clearly not the same thing at all.

When I did jury service there were several jurors who thought the defendant DID commit the offence in question but recognised that there was a material element of doubt and therefore voted 'Not Guilty' as required by the law in such a circumstance.
