If the truth is (and I mean IF) that Sven ultimately decided Walcott wasn't ready
to come on as a straight swap for Diddy Michael, then Sven is a total prat for taking Walcott.
I would have been happy to see any of Defoe, Bent or (honestly without my yellow-and-green specs on) Ashton come on as a swap for Owen, who was not playing well. ANY of those three would be infinitely better than having someone in whom Sven has no confidence.
