Had a similar increase from Aviva, ended up with Churchill on roughly what I was paying Aviva for the same cover (except windscreen excess which is higher but haven't cracked one in ages).

I was only with Aviva in the first place because Direct Line and then AXA pulled similar stunts on me in previous years. Doubtless Churchill's prices will jump next time around so I will just move again.
