yeah, you can make a case for it
problem is we're then back with the problem of Gerrard and Lampard in the centre together. Having a holding player behind them should at least in theory free them both up to get forward, and mean we get the best out of them.
Admittedly didn't seem to work particularly well last night. But think it might be worth trying it again on Saturday - we can always go back to 4-4-2 for the real thing if we need to.
