Yeh, well he used to play in "the hole" just behind the front 2
on a few occasions.
There was a spell in the early 90's when he did this. Remember Sutton's first goal for Norwich against Coventry (last min, won 3-2) - Bowen was definately in the hole the (a kind of diamond formation if I remember correctly). I think the next game was against Chelsea and we won 3-1 away (Fleck got 2, had a blinder and Chelsea bought him 12 months later!!).
He definately originally came to Norwich as a more forward type of player, LW esp, but eventually settled back at LB but was always natural going forward, hence why he managed to score so many goals for us.
