I dont think its fair to compare the two teams

I know theyve gone for it but they had the players too.. Etherington, Reo Coker and Ferdinand have looked better in the premiership where they can show their class, Harewood and Zamora have stepped up their game when most people would have written them off and they spent a fair bit on some good players - Gabidon is good and they unearthed a real gem in Benayoun.

Sadly we had good championship players and could only afford average players at best , until ashton came along.
