Depends what you want to do really...
Royal Highland Centre is out near the airport to the west of the city, so obvious option is to fly. However, the train runs right to the city centre (Waverley) or West End (Haymarket) on the east coast mainline. There is a tram or bus network that runs from the city centre past haymarket out to the airport.
