It's not unreasonable that sarge could hit that target in the right set up too. We've signed to quite expensive (for us) South American midfielders to deliver for them.

I don't think fans current expectations are too high considering.

Smith is compromising to fit in a miss match of different players with the result that they all look a bit s**t.
