Anyone got any good excuses for clients?

Had an email from a client claiming we haven’t progressed their project sufficiently. Not all true, but we could have done a better job. But I also think the client is a t**t and I don’t really like working with them either as they messed us around on a previous project hence our apathy. Tempted to tell them the truth but need to get paid on the project also.

Could always do a smell up the USB
