"The Field Commanders of Kherson and Zaporishia Oblasts called the President of Ukraine and started negotiations on their Surrender.

Their only condition to lay down their weapons and walk out to designated collection points was to be designated as Prisoners of War according to the Geneva Convention, and that the soldiers would be given the possibility of seeking asylum.

The terms were accepted with the proviso that those who had comitted war crimes will be taken to an international tribunal.

Thousands of soldiers are now walking on foot out to the pre-agreed collection points".
