I know I’m fortunate enough to have a garden and space, but I haven’t had a tumble dryer

For 20 years. Reckon that’s saved me a few electric pennies. I remember our grams having a pull-up laundry frame that was mounted to the ceiling to use the higher hot air for drying.
We just hang ours out to dry, for free. How about the council setting up some sort of communal washing lines in parks or unused council space or summink?
