I used to work in a supermarket and a bloke walked in with a cooked pizza and a bolt in the middle of it. Clearly he had cooked it, tried it, didn't like it, shoved a bolt in it and walked in with it on a plate.

My boss listened to him and offered him a replacement pizza of his choice.

Customer walked out happy.

I said, surely you know he just shoved a bolt in his pizza?

He said, yeah but if he can be bothered to go to that effort to get a different pizza, it's worth just letting him get what he wants and diffuse the situation.

Clearly, if the guy really did find a metal bolt in his pizza, he wouldn't have been happy to just get a replacement...
