Certainly vs envisage

Smith said he was “certainly” staying after last night. Remember him saying he “envisaged” Pukki being here in a press conference last season? Certainly is a quite different word intut.

I do know what you mean about the Pukki situation. On a human level feels like he’s earned and deserves a shot at a higher level. A couple of seasons with a club qualifying for Europe or something. Equally, how screwed are we if we lose him for next season?

No easy answers, but I‘ll be so glad to see him in a yellow shirt for a bit longer.
