Yes and no....

I do have sympathy for him as given his age, this might be his last chance at playing in the PL.

However, NCFC isn't a charity and he's enjoyed our contracts for 4 years. We don't really owe him anything either. All we're asking him to do is honour the contract he signed.

Really though, what it comes down to on both sides is his age; it makes him want to leave for what might be his last chance at the top level, but it makes that more unlikely because no-one will pay us enough to make it worth losing him.

It's a tricky one.
