My folks once asked me to take their elderly Fenton to the vets in Swaffham to be put down

It was in a very poorly way. So I picked it up from their house near Dereham and drove over to Swaffham. We said our goodbyes and then I bought her back to my parents, (they always buried their old pets in their back field)
However when I arrived mum asked if I could go and get Fish&Chips because “they always had fish &chips on a Tuesday and it was gone 1pm etc etc” so I had to drive back to dereham get the food ,eat the food all with this poor dead Fenton on the back seat.
It felt very normal for Norfolk.
