That sounds like a throwaway comment which is difficult to argue with.

We have a few who can press - Idah, Pukki, Rashica, Hernandez if he stays, Placheta if he stays (although he doesn't know what to do with it if he wins it). I think younger players like Rowe and Springett could press well.

Even Cantwell can press really well when he can be bothered.

Sarge isn't rapid but his press was probably the best part of his game.

Players like Dowell and Sorensen (and before anybody says it, Hugill) don't press very well from what I've seen. But press isn't always something you rely on individual players for. It's part of a system and needs to be coached. Look at the mega successful Barcelona sides - they weren't all big, speedy guys but they hunted in packs.
