The first promotion was an excellent achievement

Since then it’s been pretty “meh”.

The two premier league campaigns have been failures. Promotion the second time with the squad we had was a good achievement but also arguably par for the course given the strength of the rest of the division.

Other than the fact I think he’s a bit of a “t**t” (taking about punching fans in the face or telling us to support another club if we don’t enjoy a 0-0 with Bolton) I’m not blaming Webber. He’s taking advantage of the situation to stay in his highly paid role whilst pursuing a personal ambition. You could argue having him in a “consultancy” role alongside Adams makes sense if that is what is happening but somehow I doubt he’s taken a pay cut or it operating in that sort of role.

It just smacks to me of the owners once again letting someone (or in this case two people) have too much day to day control and then becoming beholden to them as evidenced by them apparently begging him to stay when he made clear he’s not completely committed.
