This is exactly the type of investment I have been warning against.

The way it works is they set up a company to pay for the club so the current shareholders (Think Delia and MWJ) would get their money free and clear.

The problem is the money is just a loan so the club has to pay back this loan.
Essentially the "investors" are using the club to buy it for free.
The problem is if you starve the club of funds to pay back these debts (with interest!) you lack investment on the field. See Burnley for details.
