Totally irrelevant (as well as obviously debatable)
We were never ever going to go head-to-head with the Russians on their own doorstep, in the same way (when we had much larger armed forces) we never did a thing when they rolled into Hungary in 56 or Czechoslovakia in 68. It's an unwinnable war so we won't go anywhere near it.
