I thought he played quite well last night but his game is getting forward and back and making lung busting runs which are valuable but he can be quite easily byepassed at times and k think PLM is similar. What we still lack (certainly whilst Normann and Sorensen are out) is the midfielder with positional and spatial awareness in front of the back four.

I get that it’s been a conscious decision to sacrifice some possession in recent games in return for more threat up front and it’s worked when you look at the points haul but the better teams will take us apart with that line up. Which is why we wont play it to be fair and Smith has already said that.
