Skoda Octavia
Reliable as all f**k, put the key in, it goes brrrrrm. Drives long distances without a hitch, bit thirsty on oil, very good fuel economy. Comfy enough and does exactly what you think it will.
It's not a Deutsche Wankerwaggen and doesn't pretend to be. Other people think those cars are sleeker/faster/better but they do more damage to the planet and in theory obey the same speed limits as the Octavia anyway, though in practice the owners often bend the rules almost to breaking point.
